"I will wait for you"

A video for "single Christian ladies" that moved me to tears. I may not agree with this sister's every word, but in the main, she gets it and she's expressed the expectant ache of a Christian single desiring marriage...breathtakingly, achingly beautiful.

What moved you about this video? What do you agree or disagree with--both biblically and personally?

  1. I love this! Too many thoughts to post. Some idealism of course, but love the biblical message of waiting for your husband IF he is to come, and if not, be content in the GIFT of singleness and be fully deloved to the Lord. To that end, I will say, "Amen."

  2. On point. I am speechless. Will note that her ending sounds like a recent conversation with my creator...

  3. Yes, on point. I've walked that road of trying to "make him the one." I'm glad God knew better. The intensity of her poem reflects the intensity of the struggle to wait on God for the love we seek in a way I haven't witnessed anywhere else. I can't watch this without tears. Thankful I waited!

  4. Such a great video and glad that it's gone a "bit viral"... her message is one that many of my friends currently find themselves in the middle of and seek understanding for. Thanks for posting Suzanne... love how this video has become "cross-cultural".
